The fastest-growing area of our activity is in the field of national and international after- sales support.

All our machines are available with an integrated maintenance support package designed to meet your needs with regard to advice, service and upgrade features throughout the machine’s working life. More and more, people using washing machines can see the benefits afforded to them when we remain in close contact with customers and the machines themselves, and many customers take out regular service contracts. The frequency and timing of these service visits are pre-determined by mutual agreement. A report is generated after the inspection, one copy being left for the client for reference and another being passed to Newsmith’s Service Manager so as to provide an on-going performance history of the machine. This report will assist our service engineers if they need to carry out further or future rectifications or diagnoses, thereby minimising the cost of maintenance expenditure.

Spare Parts

Ensuring a ready supply of replacement and spare parts, Newsmith’s Service Department operates a fleet of fully-equipped vans and its engineers are fully aware of all Health and Safety at Work regulations. They are also able to train operators in the efficient use of energy, water and detergent.

A substantial inventory of spare parts for all Newsmith equipment is stocked at our Roberttown, West Yorkshire facility with many parts also stocked by our support partners around the world to ensure minimal downtime.

Detergent Services

Newsmith produces a specially-formulated range of machine-washing hygiene chemicals and detergents to complement, integrate and support the cleaning performance of modern washing equipment within the food and pharmaceutical industries.

An additional benefit to the customer lies in the fact that Newsmith has acquired over 45 years’ experience of hygiene engineering technology and, therefore, has full technical knowledge of its chemicals and what performance to expect of them, for example, when undertaking swab tests to check that the detergent level in the washing solution is correct.

General hygiene chemicals for manual or high pressure applications.
